In a recent national poll conducted by FOX News, Joe Biden is leading the race and has the highest probability of beating Trump 49 to 38 percent. The poll predicts Bernie Sanders to beat him 46 to 41 percent as well as Elizabeth Warren 43 to 41 percent. Kamala Harris is predicted to tie with Trump at 41 and Pete Buttigieg is predicted to lose by 1 percent. Click here to see the full results of the poll.

Voters are backing Biden at 35 percent, Sanders at 17 percent, Warren at 9 percent, Buttigieg at 6 percent and Harris at 5 percent.

The highest priorities for voters are picking a candidate that can beat Trump (73 percent) as well as a candidate who has high ethical standards (71 percent).

The president’s reelection numbers have remained steady with 38 percent saying they would vote for him again while 54 percent saying they would vote for someone else. 28 percent would “definitely” vote for Trump while 46 percent would “definitely” vote for someone else.

There is no denying that 2020 has a lot of people interested and it’s still more than a year away. Right now, 57 percent are extremely interested in the election. This is higher than the 54 percent a week before the 2016 election.

This poll was conducted May 11-14, 2019 with a national sample of 1,008. Results based on the full sample of a margin of sampling error of +/- 3 percent, and 4.5 points for Democratic primary voters.
