Governor Andrew Cuomo announced in a radio interview yesterday that he will not be running for president in 2020. Specifically, he said, “I am ruling it out. I ran for governor, I have a full plate, I have many projects. I’m going to be here doing the job of governor. I am governor of New York and I have a lot to do.” Some believe that this isn’t the only reason he isn’t running because typically when you win a higher office, you don’t stop there because of it. The Hill conducted a poll at the end of July that showed Cuomo having the lowest favorability rating. We can expect more potential candidates to drop out over the next several months.
